Yakonow is a premium pancake syrup made from one ingredient. Just yacon root, hand-harvested in the Andean highlands of Peru, gently pressed into a smarter syrup for your daily breakfast ritual.
Why we built it
We started Yakonow because we wanted a premium pancake syrup that actually made breakfast better — without spiking blood sugar thirty minutes later. Maple syrup is honest and good. Honey is ancient. But neither met us where modern eaters live: low-glycemic, single-ingredient, kitchen-friendly.
So we built it.

Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) is an Andean tuber that has nourished Peruvian families for centuries. We source from small farms in the Peruvian highlands where altitude and climate produce yacon naturally rich in prebiotic FOS. Hand-harvested. No industrial farming. Family-owned partnerships.
The process · Texas
We press the yacon root and gently reduce the juice into a single-ingredient syrup at our FDA-compliant facility in Texas. No additives, no chemicals, no shortcuts. Just yacon, bottled in a 6oz squeeze bottle designed for daily kitchen use.
