In their words
Loved at real breakfast tables
Real feedback from people who tried Yakonow.
I honestly expected another “healthy” syrup that tastes disappointing. This one surprised me. Rich, caramel-like, and smooth.
TasteI bought it to reduce sugar without making breakfast feel like a punishment. Three weeks later my family doesn’t even ask for maple syrup anymore.
Less sugarMy kids think it’s caramel.
KidsAbsolute game changer in my morning latte.
CoffeeFinally something that actually tastes indulgent without feeling overloaded with sugar.
TasteFirst healthy product that didn’t require convincing my children. Saturday pancakes are back in our house.
KidsBanana bread tastes incredible with this. Cookies stayed soft and flavorful.
BakingHealthy products usually taste like a compromise. This is the first one that feels like an upgrade.
TasteI add one squeeze to my iced coffee every morning. Amazing in matcha too.
CoffeeInstead of removing sweetness from my life, I simply changed where it comes from. I don’t feel like I’m compromising anymore.
Less sugarPerfect in overnight oats and yogurt bowls — my favorite ingredient now.
BakingI ordered one bottle to try it. My second order was four bottles.
EverydayBought one for my sister. She ordered three more.
EverydayThis quietly became one of those products I can’t run out of. My pantry has a permanent spot for it now.
EverydayEven my husband, who usually hates healthy alternatives, asked where I bought it.

Every question, answered
Does it really taste like maple syrup?+
Warmer and more caramel-toffee than maple — naturally sweet, never bitter. Most kids ask for it by name after one breakfast.
Is it actually low-sugar and low-glycemic?+
Yes. Yacon sweetness comes mostly from prebiotic fiber (FOS) your body does not spike on — glycemic index 1–5, versus 60+ for maple. General wellness info, not medical advice.
How is it different from maple or agave?+
Same pourable sweetness, but from a root: low-glycemic and rich in prebiotic fiber, instead of refined sugar or high-fructose agave.
Will my kids actually like it?+
It is kid-approved — caramel-sweet, the taste they ask for, gentle enough for the whole table. Like any syrup, it is not for infants under 1.
Is it vegan, gluten-free and additive-free?+
Yes to all three. 100% pure yacon syrup — a single ingredient, nothing added.
Can diabetics use it?+
It is low-glycemic (GI 1–5) and many blood-sugar-conscious families choose it — but please check with your doctor. Not medical advice.
Why does it cost more than regular syrup?+
Because it is 100% hand-harvested Peruvian yacon, slow-pressed in small batches — not corn syrup with flavoring. A little goes a long way, so a bottle lasts.
Will the prebiotic fiber upset my stomach?+
In normal drizzle amounts it is gentle — it is the FOS fiber that feeds your gut. Start with a moderate pour.
How do I use it, and how much?+
Like any syrup — pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, glazes. A little goes a long way.
Where is it made, and how long does it last?+
Hand-harvested from yacon root in the Peruvian Andes, then bottled with care in the US. About a 1-year shelf life unopened; refrigerate after opening.
What if I do not love it, and how does shipping work?+
You are backed by our happiness guarantee — if you are not happy, we will make it right. Shipped across the US via USPS / UPS, with free shipping on every order.
